A NEW TITLE AWARDED, A TITLE CHANGE AND A TITLE DEFENCE!
The Championship scene in IWF was completely changed and structured tonight in Pennywell in IWF's last show of the year. Included in this restructuring was crowning a new IWF UK Champion, however nobody saw the ending coming...especially Big Kris. As the referee took down Big Kris with a huge Spear out of nowhere then proceeded to quickly count the three, awarding Hot Ed with the vacated IWF UK Championship. There is no word as yet from the rogue referee to explain his actions, and you can be sure Big Kris will want answers!
Also the IWF North East Championship changed hands in an emotion-filled battle between Brett Eagle and Kitty Morgan. Kitty was able to reclaim the championship she never rightfully lost or was able to defend when it was vacated back in October, a personal victory for Kitty as well as the home-city crowd in attendance for the young woman from Sunderland.
In the IWF Tag Team Championship picture, former champion Max Heat once again announced a mystery tag team partner, this time he again was able to shock everyone by bringing out RD Wood! While Max Heat and RD Wood put up one hell of a fight, it was not enough on the night to dethrone the IWF Tag Team Champions Adam Christ & RD Wood.

HELLO, GOODBYE
Results for the latest IWF show are now available on the Results page.
While IWF fans were being treat to a great action-packed show and re-introduced to Martin Kirby and Micky L, they also had to say goodbye to a long-standing memeber and staple of IWF in TY McFly. Due to medical reasons TY announced that he is no longer able to compete and must take a step back in IWF, with somber faces of fans and roster surrounding the ring TY made his emotional farewell speech which was then met with a loving, caring and warm ovation from all in attendance before fellow roster members entered the ring for their individual goodbyes. TY McFly will be sorely missed as an active wrestler and we wish him all the best and a healthy and speedy recovery from his current medical situation.

THE ROAD CONTINUES
After an extremely turbulent night starting the month and IWF's relaunch, IWF return to the Innisfree Social Club to close the month out on October 29th. The wheels were set in motion from the last show and we already know where they are heading. Most of the matches were either announced or were set-up from the last show, however there are also a few surprise announcements. Here is the announced match card:
IWF UK Championship - Big Kris vs Jordan Wright
IWF Tag Team Championship - (c) The Best Around (Max Heat & Lucas Marvel) vs The Minto Brothers (Nik & Sean)
Robbie Ryder vs Micky L
Martin Kirby vs Adam Christ
Team IWF (Brett Eagle, TY McFly & Kitty Morgan) vs Hall of Fame (Jed Masters, Hot Ed & a new mystery member)
Marcus Starr vs Vulture
Mike Redback (w/ Steve Redback) vs El Valiente (w/ Prodigio)
With the two championship matches already announced from the relaunch show combined with 3 other matches set-up due to the events that transpired it looks to be an exciting night. But with the surprise additions of 2 of the UK and North East's biggest names in Martin Kirby and Micky L it has made this show even more must-see.
Within Adam Christ's 7 year career in wrestling he has never faced Martin Kirby in a one-on-one match, and with the talents levels between these two this match is a long-time coming.
Also the other surprise stand-out match is the announcement of Robbie Ryder vs Micky L. This one is already the favourite to become match of the night as these two are debately two of the greatest talents in the North East. Back in 2007 these two first clashed in a singles match then went on to be voted Match of the Year! Can these two recreate magic once again in 2011?

UPDATES AFTER CONCERN
At the recent IWF Relaunch show there were some concerns regarding the health of a few of the wrestlers. Namely TY McFly, and Stevie Lafferty.
Following a violent and viscious attack and beatdown from 4 other men before being put through a table and then choked unconscious there were immediate concerns for TY McFly's health. We are happy to report that after suffering a mild concussion and a slightly compressed windpipe, TY McFly is almost completely recovered and is set to be at 100% for the next show on October 29th.
Unfortunately the state of Stevie Lafferty can not also be good news. During the Cuffed Chaos match Stevie Lafferty climbed to the top rope and proceded to deliver a missile dropkick, however upon landing from this move it was instantly obvious something was wrong, as Stevie had to be helped from ringside. We can reveal that from this Stevie had ruptured his lateral collateral ligament in his knee. While we still await to find out information as to whether surgery may be needed, we can not yet confirm whether Stevie will be cleared to wrestle October 29th but he has promised to be in attendance.

THE ALL NEW IWF?
With IWF's relaunch looming ever closer we know the 'new direction' has already spurned a new logo, new roster line-up, new contenders and from the first show IWF will guarantee to crown new champions. But now we can announce yet another new aspect of the future of IWF beginning October 1st, a new voice of the IWF!
Saturday October 1st will see the debut of IWF's brand new ring announcer and the new voice of IWF: Barry Wilson.
Some people may already know of Barry Wilson as a long-standing radio presenter for NE1fm hosting his own show AlterNation every Monday night 7pm-9pm. We know he is a passionate wrestling fan, a great voice and presenter on the radio and also a huge fan of Gateshead Football Club; as such we have high hopes for Barry being the voice of IWF and look forward to welcome him into the IWF family from October 1st. An IWF spokesman had this to say:
"The IWF 11th Anniversary Show will also feature the debut of a new ring announcer for the IWF: Barry Wilson, DJ of AlterNation on NE1fm. The IWF
is pleased to welcome Barry into the fold and would encourage people to check out the AlterNation show at 7-9pm on NE1fm (102.5fm or via www.ne1fm.net/alternation) keep an ear out for IWF mainstay TY McFly who also DJ's on AlterNation."
To show support for Barry and hear his first trip out as the new IWF ring announcer please join us at the IWF's relaunch Saturday October 1st at the Innisfree Social Club, Longbenton.

THE CLASS OF 2011 TO APPEAR AT THE RELAUNCH
The night before IWF's relaunch show there will be a private Hall of Fame ceremony awarding names of IWF's past with awards in recognition of all the work the have done for IWF. While at this time we have been asked to keep the names of this years' inductees secret we can reveal that this years' group will not only be in attendance but will be receiving additional Hall of Fame certificates in the IWF ring where they once considered home, the following night (October 1st) at the 11th Anniversary and relaunch show. All of these 'retired' wrestlers are names that long-time fans will remember and should 100% agree that they are deserving of a place in the Hall of Fame, cementing their names into the annals of IWF history.

IWF RELAUNCHES WITH CONTENDERS, CHAOS AND CHAMPIONSHIPS
With just over 2 weeks until IWF's relaunch show we begin to see the picture already being created for the 'new direction' of IWF. Here are the known facts regarding the show so far:
TY McFly has been named #1 Contender for the currently vacated IWF UK Championship, management believed that his long-standing service to the company as well as previous accolades as IWF North East and IWF Tag Team Champion that he was more than due for his first shot at the biggest prize in IWF. At this time TY McFly will face-off for the IWF UK Championship on IWF's follow-up show October 29th against the winner of a match to name the 2nd #1 Contender. All we know so far of the 2nd #1 Contender's spot is that match will take place on the IWF's relaunch show and that Big Kris will face an as yet unnamed opponent.
CUFFED CHAOS RETURNS
In the first of the 2 confirmed championship matches at the relaunch show, it has been announced that the IWF North East Championship will be fought for in a Cuffed Chaos match. The Cuffed Chaos match rules are that 6 people are in the match, 4 of which will be handcuffed to each corner of the ring while the other 2 begin the match inside. At timed intervals each of the handcuffed wrestlers will be released and join the match. Elimination rules apply and the final person left standing will be named the new IWF North East Champion. Already guaranteed a spot in this match is Kitty Morgan, who has been given the opportunity to reclaim the championship she never rightfully lost. She is not to be overlooked however, as she has proven time and time again by never backing down from any challenger and also holding a pinfall victory or 2 over some of IWF's greatest names. She also won the IWF North East Championship in a 6-Person Elimination match, she's done it before but can she do it again?
We can also reveal a few other competitors to this match: Brett Eagle, Marcus Starr and Stevie Lafferty.
Brett Eagle is one of the fastest rising stars IWF may have ever seen, breaking out from the former IWF Junior division and carving his own name into history as the longest reigning IWF Tag Team Champion in history, now he has a chance once again to step up and get yet another step closer to the top of the company where he feels he rightfully belongs.
Marcus Starr, the internet sensation of IWF has made full use of his time away from the ring as anyone with a Twitter, Facebook or even Google+ account can tell you. While he has begun to make a name for himself and has no doubt won the fans over since we last saw him, can this 'keyboard warrior' translate his skills to the ring?
The final name that we have confirmed is Stevie Lafferty. For those who don't know this is the real name of IWF's former General Manager Mr. Hollywood. Since IWF's change in management, the position of GM was no longer needed and so he was given a choice to stay in IWF as an active roster member, he jumped at this chance and was rewarded with a spot in this brutal match for one of IWF's greatest prizes. Stevie Lafferty is a mystery for this match but with no way for his opponents to prepare for him, this could give him the edge in this match. The final 2 spots in the Cuffed Chaos are as yet unknown, however we do know whoever they are, they have a tall hill to climb here.
TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH REVEALED
Just as with Kitty Morgan and the IWF North East Championship, the same courtesy has been extended to Mike & Steve Redback to reclaim the IWF Tag Team Championships. They have proven on numerous occassions that they will do (and have done) anything at all to keep hold of these titles, this match will be no exception, however they are facing 2 other teams for the belts:
Adam Christ & Robbie Ryder - this surprising tag team must instantly shoot some fear and doubt in all of the opponents minds as individually these are 2 of IWF's greatest wrestlers. Between them they hold 2 IWF UK Championship reigns, 2 IWF North East Championship reigns but most importantly 3 IWF Tag Team Championship reigns. A tag team of this calibre must be the favourites in this match.
El Valiente & ????? - We have been told that the currently undefeated El Valiente with his impressive lucha ways and high flying skills has been put into this tag team match because while on holiday from IWF in South America he met, recruited and helped train a brand new wrestler. We don't yet have a name for his partner however we know he is trained in numerous martial arts, he is an English native however left to train in Japan and more recently Brazil. This duo could be the deciding X-factor in this match and we look forward to finding out.
